What is an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC)?

An ambulatory surgery center (ASC) is a healthcare facility for procedures that don’t require an overnight hospital stay but are too involved for a physician’s office.

At ASCW, patients have their procedure in a modern operating room with specialized staff and board-certified anesthesiologists, recover in our post-anesthesia care unit, and go home the same day.

Special Care for Our Youngest Patients

Several of our anesthesiologists are fellowship-trained, board-certified pediatric anesthesiologists. Parents stay with their child before surgery and in recovery, and for younger patients, one parent may often accompany the child into the operating room until they’ve fallen asleep.
